Atlanta Taco Festival
Atlanta, GA: May 1
This inaugural event kicks off on May 1st in Atlanta with salsa lessons, tequila tastings, Lucha Libre wrestling, and of course, plenty of tacos. Expect to taste some of the tastiest tacos in the ATL from trucks like Tex’s Tacos, The Freakin Incan, and Yumbii, as well as local restaurants dishing out their best versions of everyone’s favorite Mexican food item. Attendees will then be able to vote for their favorite tacos, with the winners earning bragging rights until next year’s Taco Festival.
Eat|See|Hear
Los Angeles, CA: May 7, 14, 21, 28
The best summer-long outdoor movie series returns May 7th with (basically) everyone’s favorite film, Dirty Dancing. With a curated lineup of food trucks, live music, and some of the greatest movies around, Eat|See|Hear is the place to be if you’re looking for an awesome movie night experience. Truckeroo
Washington, DC: May 20
D.C.’s favorite monthly food truck event, Truckeroo, is back again on May 20th with the nation’s capital’s finest food truck fare, music, and entertainment. Taking place when the Nationals have an away game, Truckeroo fills over the block long parking lot between two D.C. bar favorites: The Bullpen and Das Bullpen with 15 to 25 food trucks. Participating trucks are set to include Big Cheese, Red Hook Lobster Pound, Holy Crepes!, and more. Order a Connecticut lobster roll, served with warm butter and lemon, and enjoy a food truck Friday in the District of Columbia.
Surf ‘n’ Suds Beer Festival
Ventura, CA: May 21
Hit the beach on May 21st for the Surf ‘n’ Suds Beer Festival and bask in the sunshine with over 45 breweries, live music, and local surfboard shapers on hand for all your wave riding needs. Food trucks like Belly Bombz, a Korean wings and sliders truck; and Georgia’s Smokehouse, specializing in finger-licking BBQ, will be on hand to fuel your day by the ocean. Be sure grab some crispy pork belly sliders served with a tangy sesame slaw and relish in a perfect day on the West Coast.
Sasquatch Music Festival
Quincy, WA: May 22-25
Florence & The Machine, Disclosure, and The Alabama Shakes will be headlining Washington’s coolest, can’t-miss-music festival happening over Memorial Day weekend. Get the full Sasquatch experience and camp at The Gorge, which even offers deluxe tents that come fully furnished, complete with luxury bath products. Food trucks will be in attendance to keep festival goers full and ready to dance, so check back as the event gets closer to find out what tasty treats will be available.
California Roots Music and Arts Festival
Monterey Fairgrounds, CA: May 27-29
Join Ziggy Marley, Slighty Stoopid, Rebelution, and more for a laid back weekend in Monterey, complete with sunshine, good vibes, and reggae jams. An eco-friendly festival geared towards a quintessential California experience, hit up Cali Roots if you’re looking for a peaceful atmosphere and awesome music. Check out the Art Retreat to see local artists displaying their work and even get some painting lessons yourself or head over to the yoga area for some positive energy and relaxation.
BottleRock Napa
Napa, CA: May 27-May 29
Come to BottleRock for the music, but stay for the incredible offerings of craft beer, amazing wine, and the best food pairings to go with all of it. Set in the stunning city of Napa, this three day festival boasts some of the most delicious food and best beverages out of any other festival around. The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lenny Kravitz, Stevie Wonder are just a few of the musical guests you should try not to miss while stuffing your face with on all the mouthwatering bites at Bottlerock. Taste of Cincinnati
Cincinnati, OH: May 28-May 30
Cincinnati, Ohio is kicking off summer with a foodie festival that will make your Memorial Day weekend a foodie success. Over 40 participating restaurants and a number of food trucks will be downtown serving everything from gelato to Jamaican jerk dishes. Make sure to come hungry because the best food of Ohio is here in one of the nation’s largest street food festivals, complete with multiple stages of live musical entertainment.
