The biggest music festival of the year has done it once again with an A-list food line up, which welcomes both newbies & seasoned vets to dish out their best schmear topped, fried chicken filled, grilled cheese goods.
Free Range LA
Free Range LA has been in the food truck game for about a year now and are still hot honey fried and better than ever. The menu has now extended beyond sandwiches to include breakfast burritos & muffins, potatoes o’brien, avocado toast and hearty protein-packed plates of free range deliciousness. They’ll be in the VIP section of Coachella’s food service this year and it’s well deserved. I mean just look at their sandwiches!
Guerrilla Tacos
Sushi-grade yellowtail, seared cauliflower with Medjool dates, and sea urchin poke are some of the unusually delicious taco creations that chef Wes Avila is slinging out at Guerrilla Tacos. This weekend and next he’ll be taking his culinary delights to the desert where Coachella goers can enjoy their fair share of sweet potato and feta cheese tacos. Less adventuress festival goers can snack on the top sirloin quesadilla with Oaxacan cheese or the heavenly slow roasted carnitas from Cook Pig Ranch pork shoulder while heading over to the Mojave tent. Guerrilla Tacos has been called some of the best food in LA, so if you’re only in town for the festival this is a can’t miss foodie stop.
GD Bro Burger
Don’t worry about losing your group while eating a GD Bro Burger, as their trademark bright red raspberry Brioche buns are not only delicious, but perfect for spotting people in a crowd. Refuel with the Juan & Only, a burger stuffed with jalapeno cream cheese, pico de gallo, and avocado chipotle mayo, or an Italian Stallion, piled with mozzarella sticks and pizza sauce. The Consuela Fries, cajun seasoned fries with pepper jack cheese, pico de gallo, chipotle mayo, and avocado, are perfect to grab and eat while charging your phone between headliners. GD Bro started as a San Diego based food truck and has expanded into two brick and mortar locations, so catch them at this year’s Coachella if you want to try one of SoCal’s hottest burgers.
