Fast Company, one of the must read magazines for those who keep fast company wrote a wonderful article about Roaming Hunger, food trucks and the street food movement.

from the article:

“Twitter was sort of 2-D for some of the vendors and they wanted a more 3-D experience, with pictures, a geo-location service, user feedback, along with the Twitter feed,” he says. The site is built on a liking system where users vote up their favorite vendors. “We want to help them help us help them get the word out.”

Eating Real in Oakland… no, really

Tuesday, December 1st, 2009

The Eat Real Festival, a mashup of street food and farmers market and people just chowing down was Oakland’s real stab at becoming the low cost foodie haven of the Bay Area.

Altogether, it was jammed. Very jammed. Jammed to the point where you had to wait for food no matter what… having said that, every single wait was WELL worth it… there were plenty of options and the vibe was spot on.

Roaming Hunger entered the scene to make sure the food tasted good… and yes it did.
