About Philadelphia Food Trucks
Home of both the Declaration of Independence and Constitution, this former US capital is making history again with the rise of its expansive food truck industry. Ben Franklin may be regarded Philly’s greatest inventor, but he’s got nothin’ on the chefs of Lil Dan’s Food Truck and their newest menu item: An Oreo-crusted Chicken Sandwich. The sandwich is breaded using vanilla Oreo crumbs, then topped with lettuce, tomato and a spicy sauce. Another sandwich truck is the Kung Fu Hoagies truck, which serves up the official sandwich of Philadelphia – the Hoagie. However, you won’t find a Hoagie like theirs anywhere else in the city. Their Hoagies fuse American and Asian flavors and are 100% vegetarian. To top off the list of Philly’s great sandwich food trucks is the SPOT Groumet Burgers Truck. Named one of the top 25 burger joints in America by Eater, SPOT is usually posted up near the Drexel University area, feeding the hungry hoards of students. Their signature item is the SPOT burger, which piles bacon, cheddar, coleslaw, dill picke chips and a special SPOT sauce all on top of a juicy beef patty. If you’re not a sandwich lover, don’t worry, there are plenty of delicious food trucks to choose from. Use our interactive map to find your next Philly phood truck.
