Special Presentation
Behind the Scenes: Re-Imagining the Public Health Service District
From Marine Hospital to San Francisco’s First “Green” Neighborhood
Noon to 1:15 pm AND 2 to 3:15

Learn about the amazing evolution of a 19th century medical campus for seafaring mariners into a “green” neighborhood where people live, work, and enjoy the outdoors. This interactive presentation will touch on various topics including:

*The history of the hospital campus and the people who served and were treated there
*Establishing a new vision for the historic district
*Preserving historic buildings while inviting contemporary uses
*Sustainable “green” design and LEED certification

Presentation will be followed by a question and answer session.
