Some 500 to 600 food carts congregate in lots throughout this vibrant foodie town (pictured), including a downtown city block with nearly 60 vendors. Eat Mobile festival in April attracts 40 to 50 vendors.

More than 200 mobile eateries serve street-side gourmet food, quick, cheap and flavorful. Roaming Hunger’s top choices include The Grilled Cheese Truck, Urban Oven, and Hungry Nomad.
4. SAN FRANCISCO
About 140 street-side trucks offer diverse open-air fare, and the San Francisco Street Food Fest and Eat Real events draw crowds. Most popular street-side trucks include Naked Chorizo, Sanguchon, and Seoul on Wheels.
Mild, year-round temperatures, outdoor parks, and a host of popular street-food events make this Southern city a top choice for street food lovers. There are more than 75 vendors, including Roaming Hunger’s favorites: Boner’s BBQ, Tex’s Tacos, and Grillabeast.
