Jon Favreau’s “Chef” premiere @ SXSW

Opening SXSW 2014 was the undeniably hilarious ‘Culinary Comedy’ called “Chef.” The star studded cast featured A-listers Jon Favreau (lead role/writer/director) Scarlett Johansson, John Leguizamo, Dustin Hoffman, Robert Downey Jr., Sofia Vergara and many more.

Chef, a film about professionally burnt-out and underappreciated chef (Jon Favreau), discovers a career revival as a food truck operator. Classified as an indie, the film is eerily similar to the grassroots nature of the food truck industry– no big budget to be found here. With that said, it carries a feeling of authenticity that perfectly parallels what the food truck community.
