Food Festivals Galore

Temperatures are high,  the flowers are in full bloom and food trucks are rolling out to events and parks across the nation. What’s a better way to spend a weekend than with family and friends, at a beautiful park surrounded by the aroma of delicious food?  Check out these food truck festivals that are happening this weekend across the nation.

Truckeroo – Washington, D.C.
July 11th

Truckeroo is a food truck festival that occurs monthly  in the Washington D.C. area. It attracts crowds of people with the booming live music, fun games, chill drinks, tons of shade and seating and over 20 food trucks! This weekend Truckeroo will be held at Half and M Street near the Navy Yard Metro Station and did we mention it is completely free to attend! If you do make your way out be sure to grab a classic vanilla bean cupcake from Curbside Cupcakes and cajun shrimp wrap from Doug the Food Dude.

 

Taste of Dallas

 Taste of Dallas – Dallas, TX
July 11th -13th

Taste of Dallas is a huge 3 day food festival happening this weekend at Fair Park, right in the heart of Dallas. Starting off this Friday with a “Date Night”, where you can dance the night away with the complimentary dance lessons or look into your future by participating in a palm reading. On Saturday Dish is rolling out the big screens for “Soccer Central”, a chance to watch any games that may be on and participate in an indoor soccer course. In addition to these great activities and live music there will be more than a dozen food trucks and over 60 of Dallas’ best restaurants to choose from!  The Bombay Street Food Truck, Rock n’ Ricks, The Butchers Son and What’s da Scoop will be serving up a few of their featured items.

Atlanta Street Food Festival – Atlanta, GA
July 12th

This Saturday Atlanta Street Food Festival is happening at the historic Piedmont Park. There will be live entertainment throughout, from 5 different acts, “The Zone” filled with rides and  with just over 40 different food trucks attending be sure to bring a hefty appetite. Some of the amazing trucks that will be there this weekend are The Bento Bus, Yum Yum Dessert Co. and Smileys Street Eats. A great monster match up would be The Lobster Mac and Cheese from Ibiza Bites and Belgian-Style Frittes dipped in Honey Sriracha Mayo from The Fry Guy Truck.

LA Rib Festival – Los Angeles,CA

July 13th

Food GPS is hosting LA Rib Festival this Sunday, July 13th in L.A. Chinatown and will feature Ribs and Sides from some of LA’s best chefs. A few of the food trucks that will be serving up items are The Grilled Cheese Truck, Komodo Food, and Salt and Straw. The Grilled Cheese Truck will be serving their Cheesy Mac and Rib Sandwich that consists of, Southern Mac and Cheese with House Smoked Rib Meat, Caramelized Onions and Sharp Cheddar Cheese on French Bread, and the Komodo Food Truck will be serving; Island Ribs with Homemade Pineapple BBQ Sauce and Filipino Macaroni Salad. To wash down these finger-licking good rib dishes there will be beverages from various Breweries as well as a few dessert trucks and carts. You won’t want to miss this!
