New month, new festivals, more food! Check out this list of food festivals that are happening nationwide during the month of August. Any one of these festivals are sure to keep you full and entertained! 
Bacon Festival Long Beach – August 2nd
This weekend Big Bite Events is hosting Big Bite Bacon Fest at the legendary Queen Mary in Long Beach,CA. Over 20 vendors will be sharing funky and creative dishes containing the, oh so popular protein, Bacon! To wash down all of the savory goodness there will be 40 different types of craft beers to cool off with. If you missed Dia de los Puercos Food Truck at LA Street Food Fest this year, be sure to come out and taste what they’re serving up this Saturday. 
Long Beach Crawfish Festival – August 2nd & 3rd
The 13th Annual Long Beach Crawfish Festival is back and better than ever! This Saturday and Sunday head out to the festival, bring your bibs and empty stomachs to indulge in buckets on bucks of fresh Louisiana style crawfish. At this fest you won’t have to worry about eating too much because there will be plenty of live entertainment and music to dance it off to. 
Maine Lobster festival – July 30th – August 3rd
The well renown Maine Lobster Festival is an extensive 4-day event full of lobster, entertainment, competitions, wine tasting, run/walks and more lobster. From lobster rolls and lobster wraps to lobster ceasar salad, you are sure to come upon a seafood dish to meet all of your needs. 
The Great Food Truck Derby – August 8th
The Great Food Truck Derby is being held on the East End of Manhattan at Hayground School. At least 15 trucks will be in attendance including a few of our favs the Eat Me, Drink Me Truck, Morris Grilled Cheese, and Neapolitan Express. The proceeds from the event will go towards the Hayground School yard projects that provide culinary arts training to local kids. So head out to this event and support, what could be, the next great food truck chef! 
Just Jersey Food Truck Festival – August 9th
The Just Jersey Food Truck Festival is happening Saturday, August 9th in Randolph, New Jersey. Admission is just a mere 5 dollars and the fest is sure to be a fun family-filled day. There will be about 20 food trucks in attendance offering a variety of great food including, The French Quarter food truck that serves up a traditional Louisiana Gumbo and The Thai Elephant Truck serves up a delicious curry and pad thai!
Columbus Food Truck Festival – August 15th & 16th
The Columbus Food Truck Festival is one you will not want to miss! Happening at the Columbus Commons in Downtown Columbus there will something for everyone in the family to enjoy from live music to crafting. In addition to the great entertainment offerings, they have released a list of nearly 60 food trucks that will be in attendance. If you’re in Ohio, whatever you do don’t miss this event and don’t hurt yourself while trying to sample from every truck!
KTown Night Market x OC Block Party – August 22nd & 23rd
LA & OC natives will be swarming to this event that will be full of food trucks, food vendors, artist showcases, handcrafted goods, apparel and all night live performances. It will be taking place at the infamous Angel Stadium of Anaheim, the perfect location to draw crowds from every direction. A LA favorite food truck, Seoul Sausage, has curated the events culinary experience, and with 20 food trucks and 40 vendors in the line up, your taste buds will surely dance the night away as well. A few trucks that will be in attendance: Cool Haus, Rolling Sushi Van, Lobsta Truck, White Rabbit, Dia de los Puercos, Jogasaki, Fluff Ice, Grilled Cheese Truck, Baby’s Badass Burgers and many many more!
Electronic Sriracha Festival – August 30th
If you are going to be anywhere near San Jose during Labor Day Weekend, the Electronic Sriracha Festival definitely needs to be one of your stops. The fest wil be covering 2 city blocks and have 3 stages of electronic music, 4 bars, and 120 sriracha-infused dishes. The first fest of its kind, a night full of electronic music and Sriracha GALORE! There will be about 29 different food trucks serving up fiery dishes that are sure to light up your night. Check out these trucks that will be in attendance: BBQ Kalbi, Cluck It Up, Curry Up Now, Fairycakes, Frozen Kusterd, Mad Max Cantina, and Waffle Amore.
National Buffalo Wing Festival – August 30th -31st
The National Buffalo Wing Festival is also taking place Labor Day weekend in Buffalo, New York. This saucy fest has been drawing crowds of thousands since 2002, when the founder native Buffalonian Drew Cerza, was inspired by Bill Murrays character in Osmosis Jones who was planning to attend a wing fest. It has now evolved to hold a variety of competitions from a sauce-off and bobbing for wings, to a miss buffalo wing pagent and the US Chicken Wing Eating Championship. Whether you are looking to grab some grub from one of the 27 restaurants participating or win your share of money from one of the various competitions your weekend is sure to take flight. Sauce bibs are a requirement!
