Yoga, Puppies, Snow Cones, Oh My

As promised a few months ago, I  would travel back to what is officially my favorite food truck park (and more!) in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Whatever your pleasure, Klyde Warren park has something to fit your fancy, from morning yoga and Doggie Fit classes to the Dallas Morning News outdoor reading room.

The Park offers plenty of places for your pups to run and a fully equipped outdoor children’s park, replete with water activities! The plethora of food trucks is actually just Klyde Warren’s icing on the cake!

My outing to the park happened to be during their 2nd anniversary festivities, which fell on a remarkably warm Fall day, fitting for something icy. In addition to the other amenities the park also offers a full bar and restaurant. I was surrounded by children and puppies playing so much so that I, myself, was also inspired to be playful. I decided to dip over to Crazy Fish who serves delectable sushi and snow cones from their ice-cold truck!

I enjoyed my triple-flavored treat next to another family who, as you can see, certainly discovered their favorite indulgences on this unusually hot day. While I relaxed and soaked in the sun, everyone at the park seemed to find something they enjoyed to blow off some steam on this hot day.

A yoga class of nearly 200 took place on the great lawn, while children and their parents enjoyed the Dallas Morning News reading area, as well as the children’s park. Ladies who lunch enjoyed brunch at the glass-enclosed restaurant at the park, and a clown readied himself for entertaining the youngsters running around and enjoying their family time. Teenagers played football, dogs caught Frisbees, old friends met along the in-laid water gardens before biking the perimeter of the park.

I enjoyed a beautiful Saturday afternoon with my snow cone, doing what I love to do most: people-watch. Go on, admit it – you share this guilty pleasure with me, and there’s no better park in Dallas/Fort Worth to do just that! So head over to Klyde Warren Park this weekend, grab a snow cone, or a slice, or sushi, or a gourmet burger, or tacos, and people-watch, or read, or practice yoga, or throw the Frisbee with your dog,or…. You get the picture.

Enjoy
