Support Emergency Food Service for Los Angeles

Los Angeles has been deeply affected by the Coronavirus pandemic, especially our local communities and small businesses. Now there’s a way to support the entire community in a meaningful way.

We set up a GoFundMe page to do the following…

+ To feed the most vulnerable members of our Los Angeles community.
+ To support our local non-profits on the ground.
+ To support the small businesses that are most at risk.

How It Works

Food trucks are in a unique position to help charities that are feeding our local Los Angeles school children, elderly, homeless, and healthcare workers.

Your donations will be used to send a food truck to one of our charity partners to provide HOT MEALS for their community. We connect food trucks to organizations that need meals. Meals will be prepared safely according to current health standards and packaged.

All funds raised will be passed directly through to the food truck and Roaming Hunger will coordinate meals, time and location to make sure everything runs smoothly. Roaming Hunger will not charge any service or booking fees.

All meals will be donated to The Dream Center.

$6.00 will provide a hot meal from a local food truck.
$600 will activate a food truck to go out and provide 100 meals to a local non-profit.

If you know a non-profit that needs support, fill out this form or email us at [email protected]

Why We Are Doing This

At Roaming Hunger, our mission is to bring communities together through food. Normally we do that through helping people, companies and organizations find great local food trucks to cater their events. You can learn more about how we help companies feed their folks here!

As we saw demand for catering and events drop off dramatically, we realized we were in a unique position to apply our expertise and software platform to support the Los Angeles community in a time of crisis.

Once we saw the impact the coronavirus was going to have on those in need, we connected with the Dream Center (a non-profit that provides community support in Los Angeles in the areas of homelessness, hunger, poverty, addiction, education, and human trafficking) and a corporate donor (a client of ours who has chosen to remain anonymous) to pay for and donate 200 meals through our food truck partner Richeeze.

Seeing we had a model that worked, the last piece was creating a way to raise funds to help those in need of food, and also help local food trucks stay in operation as well.

Thank You to Our Food Truck Partners

In Los Angeles alone we have over 500 food trucks in our network (18,000 nationwide). Right now we are working with three food trucks who can provide meals for $6.00. We’re actively adding more food trucks every day as this program grows.
We want to shout out our first three food truck partners:
