Now That’s an Irish Burger

Guinness Corned Beef Burger with Irish Cheddar Cheese

This delectable burger is packed with just over a 1/4 pound of a combination of corned beef and ground beef and topped with a ton of sauerkraut and Irish cheddar cheese. Whatever shenanigans you choose to engage in for St. Patrick’s Day tonight, be sure to eat one of these burgers first.

Corned Beef Burger with Irish Cheddar Cheese

Ingredients 

1/2 lb. of ground corn beef

1 lb. ground beef

1/4 cup Guinness

dash Tabasco

2 tbsp. olive oil

1 cup drained sauerkraut

4 slices Irish cheddar cheese

4 whole wheat buns

Yellow mustard

Salt & Pepper to taste

Directions

1. Combine the corned beef, ground beef, guinness, tabasco and salt and pepper in a large bowl

2. Form the combined ingredients  into 4 large patties

3. Pre-heat a skillet to medium-high heat

4. Add olive oil to the skillet and cook each burger for 5 minutes on the first side, flipping and cooking 4 minutes on the other

5. Remove burgers and allow them to rest on a plate

6. Preheat the broiler and place the buns topped with cheese on a baking sheet under the broiler

7. Leave in the broiler until the cheese is melted, then remove and top each burger with mustard and saurkraut

8. Enjoy!
