As Hey Cupcake! proved to be an instant hit, one by one, new trailers rolled in with delicious, inexpensive and creative selections....thus, an exciting new food trend began. Today, you can still get your Hey Cupcake! fix on SoCo. But before you grab dessert, you gotta stop a few feet away at Burro Cheese Kitchen and order up a yummy gourmet grilled cheese sandwich.

The Picnic Trucks

Not too far from where the horns are hooking 'em (on Barton Springs Road, near the UT campus), several local chefs are cooking up some wonderfully flavorful food. Here you'll find The Mighty Cone, another Austin street food staple that first introduced its famous Hot 'n Crunchy Fried Chicken cone (topped with mango-jalapeno slaw and ancho sauce) to the locals at the Austin City Limits music festival, years ago.
