Leafs Nation is quickly becoming Food Truck Nation! Toronto is no newbie to eclectic food - the city has a Little Italy, Little India, Little Portugal, two Chinatowns, and now food truck pods are now popping up all over the place. Drool-worthy vendors serving anything from East-African fare to Thai-Style fries can be found around Roy Thompson Hall, Liberty Village, Nathan Phillips Square, and at Yonge and Adelaide. Toronto citizens are leading the street food movement, with supporters like Mayor Tory tweeting #freethefoodtrucks, and locals turning out in droves to show their support. Students also get in on the action, showing their love for M.e.n.u, usually parked near University Avenue near College, where they line up for Singapore Rice Balls while the truck's stereos blare hip hop jams.
