Back in 2016, Samuel Caklo had a crazy idea. After quitting his job of 14 years, he decided to open up a truck and start selling German bratwurst, falafel, and döner kebab. After relocating from Louisville, Kentucky to Los Angeles, it wasn’t long before GermanYumTruck was one of LA’s most popular street food spots.
What kind of Greek food journey are you trying to take? Döner here can take many forms; either in a pita sandwich, on a platter with fries and pita bread, in a cone box, wrapped in lavash, or in a salad bowl. You’ll also need to pick between chicken, beef & lamb, or falafel (or mix ‘em all up!) as well as a sauce — tzatziki, classic yogurt, spicy, and vegan dill are all in the mix. There are plenty of veggie toppings and sides on offer as well, so what are you even still reading this for? Hit up GermanYumTruck on the streets of LA, or better yet, book them to cater your next event.
