About Get Toasted Truck
Inspiration. Passion. Humility. Innovative. Culture. These five words best describe the story, the life, and the personality that is: Get Toasted. Former Restaurant Manager John Yuhico and Chef Manuel Medina began working together in May, 2010. This was a partnership that was made to last. Little did they know that after a year of grinding and working extra long hours in a restaurant, the two would collaborate and create a business filled with passion and culture. Their energetic and jubilant personalities create an atmosphere that is beyond a typical GFT (Gourmet Food Truck). They strongly believe that the world of food does not end with what is on your plate, but what story and experience you can take away from it. Both gentlemen traditionally grew up dining at the dinner table. It was then where conversations begin and stories are told that made the celebration of food come to life.
Chef Manuel and John took this tradition and carried it into the personality of the food truck. They bring their culture of Spanish, Mexican, Filipino, and Asian backgrounds and create an innovative fusion of flavors. Their take on classic sandwiches has married technique with essence and has rejuvenated sandwiches that most consider comfort food.
John and Manuel express their gratitude to all of their supporters, friends, family and most importantly; God. “It is with great fortune to be able to live out our dream and be able to express our love and passion for food to all.
