Chef Emery and his partner Laura opened Guilty Pleasures in the summer of 2011, with a vision of creating one of San Antonio's finest food trucks. Emery infuses every dish he creates with his extensive experience and passion for perfection. Emery started his career in the kitchen as a young man and quickly climbed the ranks until he was running kitchens and mentoring his staff on his techniques. Disenchanted with the corporate restaurant world, Emery retired from the kitchen in 2007.
Upon his move to San Antonio in 2010, Emery watched a segment on the TV show, San Antonio Living, which talked about The Boardwalk on Bulverde and the emerging food truck scene. Shortly thereafter, he and his partner Laura commissioned the build out of their truck and here they are today. He knew that he wanted to step beyond the political corporate atmosphere and come back on his own terms to create memorable food experiences for people...
Before he created his first dish, he vowed to only use the finest ingredients, and prepare each dish with an infusion of passion and creativity.
