Chef Joe Bill first created his delectable barbecue sauce in 2011. He quickly decided to continue to hone his craft by enrolling in culinary classes at the University of Tennessee, and soon found himself presented with a unique opportunity – the chance to take over his grandfather’s old restaurant. Needless to say, Joe was eager to continue his family’s tradition. Now, Joe Bill’s Kitchen has its very own food truck that rolls around the Piney Flats, TN area dishing up exemplary barbecue.
With all the barbecue joints out there, what makes Joe Bill’s Kitchen stand out? First, the meats are high-quality, slow-smoked to keep all those natural flavors intact. Second, you won’t find your run-of-the-mill cookout fare here. Joe isn’t afraid to take risks when it comes to the art of cooking, and these risks have really paid off. This is evident in dishes like the pork q-rolls, a crisp egg roll shell stuffed with cheese and smoked pork. The sandwiches here aren’t the typical brisket and pulled pork sliders, but meticulously crafted concoctions stuffed with their own unique flavor profiles to tantalize your taste buds. Even the mac and cheese takes it up a notch, using smoked gouda over cheddar for some gourmet flare. Getting hungry? Swing by and try the food for yourself. If you love it, book Joe Bill’s Kitchen for your next event. Guests will thank you.
Apple-achian Sandwich - The pulled pork pairs perfectly with the cooked apples packed on this sandwich, adding some fruity undertones to that tangy flavor. Plus, the smoked gouda enhances the barbecue taste and it’s all served up on a bakery fresh brioche bun.
