Ludo Truck is a great gourmet food truck. They serve 3 types of fried chicken, amazing biscuits, killer cookies and home made fresh juices. The truck is the brain child of Frenchman Ludo Lefebvre.
LudoBites is a restaurant by Chef Ludo Lefebvre that has no permanent address and no phone number. We like to say that the restaurant is limited only by Ludo’s imagination. Many, including ourselves, have called it a “pop-up” restaurant and that may have been true for a while, but to truly characterize our business model as it exists today, we are a “touring” restaurant. Like a club band we have been touring locally since 2007 and “playing” different parts of Los Angeles; West Hollywood, Culver City, Downtown, Sherman Oaks with more to come.
LA Weekly’s Pulitzer Prize winning food critic, Jonathan Gold, has named a LudoBites dish as a Top 10 Dish of the Year for each of 2007, 2009, and 2010 and has called it a “Kitchen of a Genius.” The Los Angeles Times, has said LudoBites “has L.A. on a Culinary String”; Sam Sifton of the NY Times declared, at LudoBites, “every plate is a fully realized piece of art”. Ruth Reichl announced that LudoBites is the “supremacy of food over ambience.” And Josh Ozerky of Time Magazine named Ludo, “The Chef of the Future.”
Although Ludo’s restaurant has no permanent address, “wonders flow from his borrowed stoves.” “The restaurant is a figment of Ludo’s imagination. And if you’re luck, of yours too,” J. Gold.
