I have been a professional cook for a dozen years. I began as a culinary student in New York City at the Natural Gourmet Institute. I moved on from there to work in the kitchens of Heartbeat in the W New York, and Savoy, a pioneer of the slow food movement in New York. I have spent the last five spring and summers in Alaska as the chef for two upscale lodges, and the fall and winters here in San Francisco working for various caterers and fellow chefs' pop-up dinners. I am now enjoying the process of starting a business and bringing forth much of the food and flavors of Jewish and Eastern European food that were a major part of my early years and family gatherings. Adding the perspective and techniques of a modern cook to this Old World food has been both inspirational and fun..

We are available to cater dinner parties, corporate events, benefits, and more. We can tailor a menu to fit your special occasion, drawing from our large collection of recipes in East European and Jewish traditions. We emphasize and adjust traditional recipes to feature local and seasonal ingredients. We do not have strict kosher facilities and there fore cannot offer kosher catering, however we can structure menus to be either protein or fish/dairy oriented to be kosher style.
We can either do drop-off catering of pre-plattered food or come on site and prepare the food in your house or facility.
