About PIE Spot
The bond between a cook and her food is always strong. But the bond between a pie-maker and her pie…well, let’s just say it’s a bit more personal. That’s reason enough to take some time and get to know the women behind Pie Spot...
Ashley Ragsdale
Ashley Ragsdale has always loved pumpkin pie. Well, to be honest, she has always loved pumpkin pie filling. Why just the filling, you ask? Because for most of her life she was only exposed to (get ready to gasp) store-bought pie dough. A tragedy, really. That all changed, however, when Jessica exposed Ashley’s taste buds to her ridiculous pie dough recipe. The addiction is now in full swing.
Wait. It only gets better:

Jessica Woods
Jessica Woods knows it sounds weird, but when she makes pie dough, she sticks her nose right by the opening of the food processor to sniff the pie dust. The combination of frozen butter and flour is clean and fresh and…she just loves the smell, OK? And, not unlike a “pie whisperer”, she can now tell whether the pie dough is done just by this smell. We told you this pie thing is personal.
That’s the art. Here’s the craft:
