POP's philly cheesesteaks are not just close to the real thing, they are the real thing. POP's special orders all of its high quality cheesesteak ingredients including rolls, meat, cheeses, everything except fresh produce, directly from the City of Brotherly Love; Philadelphia.
POP’s is an acronym for Pride of Philly Steaks. Shortly after we opened, our customers began calling us “POP’s Philly Steaks” or just “POP’s.” That’s fine with us, because POP’s is an easy to remember short name for you to get the BEST cheesesteak anywhere!!
Our mouth watering cheesesteaks are made at 501 S. Decatur Blvd. in Las Vegas, Nevada (on the Southeast corner of Alta and Decatur). It’s our only location, and we're certain this is one of the things that makes our sandwiches special, ensuring constant quality control and superb customer satisfaction; you can’t find another POP’s anywhere else!
The distinctive POP’s A-frame building was actually built in 1964 by a franchisee for Weiner Schnitzel. It later became Weenie Bender which was subsequently changed to an A&W Root Beer. Then in 1993 it became a cheesesteak restaurant.
POP’s acquired the restaurant in July 2002. Since then, we have been operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We have made it our goal to never close the doors or the order window at POP’s, enabling you to always be able to satisfy your cheesesteak craving.
Our customers love us because we serve a wonderfully delicious, sumptuous cheesesteak sandwich that is so authentically reminiscent of the sandwiches served in the greater Philadelphia area of Pennsylvania. Philadelphia is where the Philly cheesesteak was born in the early 1930s.
Proudly, one area where POP’s distinguishes itself is in its customer service. We strive to serve not only a great tasting sandwich, but a great looking sandwich as well. Our employees take great pride in their jobs. We give our employees a lot of freedom to make customer service decisions. Every sandwhich is customized to the customer's preference. Our grill masters are encouraged that any error made in estimating the quantity of meat on your sandwhich be on the side of too much rather than too little.
Our customers love us because we serve a great product, at a fair price, by a friendly, courteous, and professional staff.
We deliver locally, orders of 50 sandwiches or more. We offer large order discounts. Those, you need to inquire about. They can range up to 25% off the regular retail price depending on the quantity you need, something to keep in mind if you have a large function or a large group of cheesesteak hungry folks with big appetites.
A number of automobile dealers order from our stores on Saturdays for their luncheons. They may order 100 or 200 sandwiches. Typically, we prepare a variety of cheesesteaks enabling them to dress them after they arrive. What we mean by dressing is garnishing with mushrooms, onions, peppers, hot peppers, etc. after they arrive at the location where they are to be served.
Finally, just because you don't see it on the menu doesn't mean we can't make it for you. Please ask, and if we have the ingredients, we will do our best to make it just the way you like it.
