A name givin to him by his mother when he was three days old. Boots has worked in restaurants for the past 20 years. He's worked with famous chefs like Bobby Flay in New Yorks Mesa Grill and Cheryl Smith from the Melting Pot on Food Network. He's owned two restaurants in San Diego. The Juke Joint Cafe and Batter Up! Slow Cal BBQ Truck is his newest creation to hit the streets of Southern California. Slow Cal BBQ Truck takes the traditional Southern smoking techniques and mixes it with Boots' edgy culinary perspective. He loves to layer flavors and texture into one rememberable meal.
