Red velvet waffles, classic Southern fried chicken and homemade french fries offered from noon to midnight, the Cravings Truck in Tallahassee, Florida believes people should eat what they want, when they want. We aren’t chefs. We don’t have any culinary training outside of our grandmother’s kitchens, so that makes us self-proclaimed foodies. Often as a foodie, especially as employed full-time students, we get hungry. Not only during the late night hours when our $200 textbook becomes our favorite pillow, but during the day when we want, no when we crave something different, quick, fresh and…saucy (Johnathon likes sauce). One night of late night studying (scholars), we stumbled upon the vendy culture in Los Angeles and New York City and we said, “Man, someone should do something like that in Tallahassee. ”Then we looked in the mirror and realized that ‘someone’ was us. So, we found a used 1985 Chevy step van and customized it piece by piece…until we could get our money up of course. The result is Cravings, one of the first mobile gourmet dining concepts in Tallahassee, Florida. We like to eat and we hope you do too.
