The team at The Rice Is Right spent years cutting their teeth at various Korean, Chinese, Thai, and Japanese restaurants throughout the Austin, TX area, mastering an eclectic array of Asian fare. They decided to pool their collective experience into a single food truck, serving up a mix of Asian-inspired cuisine across the Lone Star state. And, of course, each dish is served with a heaping helping of rice.
The scents wafting from this truck will surely entice avid eaters as each and every dish employs the aromatic spices responsible for the bold flavors in Asian cooking. You can grab some mushroom stir-fry packed with a rich, earthy taste. Or, if you’re more carnivorously inclined, sink your teeth into a steaming plate of Korean braised beef sautéed with scallions. Pair your choice of entree with a seaweed salad and you’ve got the perfect meal to shake up your humdrum lunch routine. Speaking of lunch, The Rice Is Right caters, specializing in on-site lunches. So, don’t hesitate to book ‘em for your next event. Guests will thank you for providing such a full-flavored feast.

It is a parody of The Price Is Right. I love that show. It used to be the only television show where I knew what was going on.

I have been cooking for a while and I am confident I can serve people great food for a great price.
Fumihito Sugawara, a good friend of mine. I told him I wanted to start a food truck years ago. He kept reminding me of my dreams and encouraging me to pull the trigger.
We served people at an outdoor Overland Expo. It was an awesome experience to park the truck amongst nearly 1,000 campers and interact with them while serving them.
Our dishes are like our children. We don't have a favorite. There is no dish on our menu we are not proud to serve.
