A lot of food trucks come and go, coming onto the scene only to go just as quickly. AJ and Eli were born and raised in the mountains of North Carolina, and spent the next 15 years in the food industry. For 4 years, the team managed a local Raleigh-Durham staple: The Alley, and when it shuttered its doors for good, they saw an opportunity to jump into the food truck business. Using some wood recycled from the spot's bowling alleys, they outfitted an entire food truck and an entire menu inspired by hometown pride as much as the desire to satisfy big appetites with a big menu full of comfort food.
