Bun Intended was founded by a trio of food-loving friends who wanted to bring some Thai-inspired cuisine to the Asheville, NC area. The group also wanted to give back to the community, so they're dedicated to empowering local farms. When fruits, veggies, and proteins are all locally sourced, ingredients are impeccably fresh and extra tasty.
The food at Bun Intended is inspired by Thai street food. You can choose from a variety of bao. These come with your choice of pork belly, chicken, or seasonal vegetables marinated in savory Thai sauces flavored with hints of honey, garlic, soy, and more. For the health-conscious, Bun Intended provides plenty of salad options. These are seasoned with blends of herbs and spices and peppered with juicy fruits like papaya, striking the perfect balance between sweet and savory. If this sounds delicious to you, why not book Bun Intended for your next event? In addition to providing guests with amazing food, this is a great way to support local business.
Pork-Belly Bao - Tender, fresh pork belly served in an open bun and smothered in honey mustard glaze and hoisin sauce. This bao also comes stuffed with green onions, carrots, and daikon, adding some extra crunch (and nutrients!) to the dish.
Veggie Spring Roll - A cool, crisp Thai spring roll wrapped in rice paper and stuffed with noodles, veggies, and tangy herbs. This comes with a side of peanut sauce, allowing you to add a dash of a mildly sweet flavor to the dish.
