Meet Amgd Gende
What is the story behind your business' name?

Capital Falafel s founder and CEO Amjad Gende started this food truck in 2017. As a young professional with an appetite for success, Amjed knew he wanted to share his culture with others in a big way. After experimenting with countless ingredients and perfecting his recipe, Amjed turned his entrepreneurial dreams into reality in 2017 when he opened his Food truck called Capital Falafel.

About Capital Falafel

  • Minority Owned
Need your favorite Mediterranean eats in the District of Columbian streets? Capital Falafel is here to bring their finest! Whether it's wraps, platters, or loaded up salads, this feast from the Middle East is rolling out its tastiest, most aromatic meals across the DMV.

It goes without saying that their falafel is, well, capital. Sweet, spicy, with a touch of harissa, it's perfect on a plate or a pita. And you know what else is perfect there? Lamb gyros, chicken shawarma... Heck, they'll even make up a chicken quesadilla if you ask really nicely. Next time you're craving a culinary trip to the Mediterranean, don't call your travel agent; just book Capital Falafel to show up at your next event today.
