What is the story behind your business' name?

Chank’s Grab-N-Go is a cherished enterprise in the snack foods industry, distinguished by its strong foundation in familial ownership and operation. It was established by the esteemed Ciancaglini (pronounced Chank-A-Leeny) family, who have imbued it with their passion and dedication. "Chanks" holds a special significance, having been a lifelong nickname for the owner, thus serving as the wellspring of the company's appellation.

Why did you decide to start your business?

Our journey began when our father discovered the captivating pizza cone concept in the heart of Italy. Upon his return, he couldn't help but rave about its brilliance. Initially, we ventured into the food industry with a couple of mall food stands and later expanded to include a food truck. As we embarked on this culinary adventure, our vision for Chanks continued to evolve. In 2019, we had an epiphany – rather than remaining a mere food stand, we aspired to become a manufacturer. Our sights were set on serving the food service industry, catering to businesses like Aramark and Spectra, who procure food in bulk and operate eateries open to the public. Everything seemed to be falling into place until the unforeseen arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic. In response, we adapted swiftly, transitioning to the production of smaller-sized cones suitable for retail. Today, our delectable cones can be found gracing the shelves of Shoprite and Aldi, while our beloved food truck continues to serve loyal customers throughout this journey.
