Yes, Comal Coffee is registered for catering and/or vending events on Roaming Hunger. In terms of availability, we don't manage their calendar. The best way to find out if they're available is to fill out your event information and see if they respond.

Meet Ibzan and Zoyla Cifuentes

What is the story behind your business' name?

We are a family owned business. Ibzan is from Guatemala and Zoylas family culture is from Nicaragua. Our family Culture is Coffee and at any time. The Artisan Coffee that we roast is from Huehuetenango Guatemala. We roast our coffee beans from a roaster ( Comal) to your cup. A Comal is clay made and sizzles under a sizzling fire wood. A Comal makes your coffee beans earthy and organic.

Where did you learn to cook?

Grandmother Mama Tila used to have Ibzan pick the coffee beans and take them to his grandmother. Mama Tila will get the Comal (roaster) ready to roast the coffee beans. Ibzan would watch Mama Tila transfer out the roasted beans to stone bowl and grind the coffee beans with a stone. Mama Tila would boil water and brew the fresh coffee grinds and Ibzan will watched the pot brewing. When the coffee was ready for Ibzan he not only tasted the delicious coffee but felt the warmth of his Grandmothers love and joy.
