Chef Ray grew up watching his parents cook, absorbing the craft via observation. In adulthood, he decided to pursue his passion professionally by enrolling in California Culinary Academy. For awhile, he trained in a Marriott in Hawaii, where he fell in love with poke bowls. Eventually landing in San Francisco, CA, he decided to give California a taste of this island tradition. With that, Da Poke Man was born. Now, lucky residents of the Golden Gate City can sample the fare Ray serves out of this truck. Ray makes every single bowl to order, following traditional techniques to cook and serve his poke bowls. Each bowl comes with a base of your choice of rice, mixed greens, or tortilla chips.
