Tomasso Conte grew up learning from his grandparents just how the ancient people of the Abruzzo mountains in Italy used to make everything themselves, from growing vegetables, jarring sauces, making wines, curing meats, and a whole lot more. Today, he’s applied these principles in his street food and D’Abruzzo is one of New York City’s most in-demand pop up stalls.
