What is the story behind your business' name?
As the Founder and Chief Juice Fairiy at Fairyella Pure Pops, I was inspired to create these delicious treats when our youngest son was teething, and we wanted something to ease his pain. We discovered that almost every frozen treat had loads of HFCs, concentrates, artificial flavors and dyes. We didn’t want all that stuff and just wanted something healthy and tasty to give our son. At the time, I was already well into my juicing journey. I had been using juice as a way to provide vital nutrients and hydration for my Mother Marti, who was undergoing treatment for stage 4 breast cancer. My Mom only had three months to live, and I credit the juices for helping to prolong her life another three and a half years and I was excited about all the benefits we were getting from the juice I made for her. I challenged myself to make the tastiest juices with the lowest amount of sugar possible with healing properties. When I had extra juice, I would freeze it, and then I started giving it to my son. He loved it, and I realized that this was something that could help a lot of people, so I started making them for friends, and it has just grown from there to Farmer's Markets, retail and soon institutions. People love them, and it makes me happy to provide a tasty, healthy treat that makes people smile and feel good. I named the company “Fairyella” after the tooth fairy that my Mom created when I was a little girl. Now, I am working on expanding my business into hospitals and schools nationwide in honor of my Mother and for people going through cancer treatments as well as to prevent diabetes. Fairyella Pure Pops branded products are an essential part of an active lifestyle, healthy parenting, delicious snacking, environmentally sourcing, love and not on a stick. People in general are avoiding HFCs and are concerned about locally sourced ingredients for leaner carbon footprint which Fairyella provides. Even though Martha lost her fight with cancer in 2010, the juicing helped her live another three years instead of the three months her doctor said she had to live. This is why Kimberli continues to be inspired to follow her dream of providing healthy snacks for kids, adults and others battling cancer.
