What is your favorite dish on the menu?

I enjoy all of the dishes on my food truck but if I have to pick one. It would be our Catfish sandwich and fries with our homemade sauce. We also offer full service catering my favorite would be the blacken Cajun salmon.

What is the story behind your business' name?

The story behind the name of my business is close and dear to my heart. I named my business after my mother. My mother's oldest brother nick named her Fat Cat. We are a very close family in remembrance of my uncle who we lost to cancer and to honor my mother along with my love for food "Fat Katz Cuisine" was established.

Where did you learn to cook?

I started cooking with my Great-Grandmother as young as 5 years old. It started with me cracking eggs in the cake or tasting food for flavor. I have never stopped cooking and every day I'm learning more and enhancing my craft.

Why did you decide to start your business?

I started a small catering business with my partner 10 years ago. We started the business as a part time passion we both shared for serving flavorful food. In 2019-20 I was laid off from my corporate job due to COVID. All of our contracts where cancelled. I my business partner passed away suddenly. Dealing with so much lost I decided to focus my time and energy on the things that brought me joy and satisfaction that thing was cooking. I find my inner peace in cooking. The kitchen is where most of my funniest, happiest, and peaceful memories from childhood to the present time. Food is just simply good for your "SOUL".

Who encouraged you the most to start your own business?

I would say my life partner Michael, my children and my closes friends. They have stood beside me and pushed me to live my dreams. They all have been eager to help me in areas we have needed their support. We are very proud to have such an amazing support system. Our village always show up to knock each event out the par. They always show up eager to help and push us to the next level of excellence.

What's your favorite event that you've catered for?

We catered the first annual two-day Cincinnati Music Festival. This event was by far the most rewarding and challenging of all the events we've catered for. We were able cook for national recording artist and their team. We severed over 600 guests within 2 days. The best part of this event we had the opportunity to introduce our scrumptious food to people from the East coast, Midwest, and West Coast. We had many rave reviews on how good the food was. We did so well we have been asked to come back for their 2023 concert series.
