What is your favorite dish on the menu?

Sunset on Citrus is our signature elevated soda experience, bright, floral, creamy, and unexpectedly sophisticated. Made with sparkling blood orange San Pellegrino, housecrafted orange blossom and honey cardamom syrups, then finished with a silky honey salt cold foam, it’s the perfect balance of refreshing citrus, warm spice, and soft sweetness. It tastes like golden hour in a cup.

What is the story behind your business' name?

The name Fizz & Flirt was inspired by the feeling we wanted people to have when they walked up to our bar, nostalgic, playful, a little cheeky, and impossible not to smile at. “Fizz” represents the sparkling, handcrafted drinks at the heart of our business, while “Flirt” captures the personality behind the brand: fun, feminine, retro-inspired, and designed to create connection and conversation. We wanted something that felt less like traditional catering and more like an experience, the kind of detail guests remember long after the event is over.

Where did you learn to cook?

My love of cooking and flavor-building started at home. Some of my earliest memories are tied to the kitchen...watching recipes come together, learning that food could feel comforting, nostalgic, and creative all at once. Over the years, that evolved into a passion for experimenting with flavor pairings, elevated ingredients, and presentation. What began as a personal creative outlet eventually became the foundation for Fizz & Flirt, where every syrup, topping, and drink is developed with the same attention to detail and sense of experience that first made me fall in love with cooking.

Why did you decide to start your business?

After more than two decades as an educator, I found myself craving a creative outlet that allowed me to build something entirely my own. I’ve always loved hospitality, aesthetics, flavor development, and creating experiences that make people feel excited and connected. When I discovered the world of elevated dirty sodas, it immediately felt like the perfect fit, nostalgic, highly customizable, visually fun, and capable of bringing people together in a unique way. Fizz & Flirt was created to be more than just a beverage business. I wanted to create an experience that felt playful, elevated, and memorable from the very first interaction, something that blended creativity, hospitality, and storytelling into every event we serve.

Who encouraged you the most to start your own business?

One of the biggest reasons Fizz & Flirt exists today is because of my husband, Todd. When the business was still just an idea, he was the person who encouraged me to stop treating it like a dream and actually pursue it. Starting a business can feel intimidating, especially after spending years in another career, but his support gave me the confidence to take the leap. From brainstorming ideas to helping behind the scenes at events, he has been part of the journey from the very beginning.

What's your favorite event that you've catered for?

One of my favorite events we’ve ever catered was the grand opening celebration for a local oral and maxillofacial surgeon’s office. The event hosted nearly 400 guests, and it was one of those moments where everything that makes Fizz & Flirt special really came together, the energy, the presentation, the interaction with guests, and the excitement around the drinks themselves. What made the event especially memorable was seeing such a wide range of people, from medical professionals to families and community members, fully embrace the experience. Guests weren’t just grabbing a drink and walking away; they were asking questions about flavors, taking photos, coming back for second drinks, and genuinely engaging with the bar. It reinforced for me that what we’re creating goes beyond beverages. We’re creating moments people remember.
