Fletch's of San Mateo

Fletch's is here to finally import some real Chicago to the Bay area - not in a cute way, not in an homage, but for real. Like really real. Like ex-Chicagoans driving miles and miles to get a taste of home-level real. The Fletch Dog is the poster child for the whole affair, and it happens to make for one hell of a poster - mustard, relish, onion, pickle, tomato, sport pepper and celery salt all add up to making this a masterpiece of complex simplicity. For an even heartier take, get it with cheese and chili. Juicy, perfectly pressed sliders are also on deck, along with a thin-cut Italian beef sandwich seasoned & dripping with nostalgic purity. A wide variety of sausage completes the main menu, with fresh-cut fries (original or cheese-covered, naturally) on the side of everything, as well they should be. For a taste of home (or just one hell of a taste) that can't be faked, and can't be resisted, hit up Fletch's and get ahold of some of the tastiest imports this coast has ever seen.
