Matt Whitley and Tyler Helikson met while attending college, but drifted apart after graduation. However, a series of chance meetings helped them rekindle their friendship. They found they’d developed similar values over the years, in particular a fondness for healthy foods and sustainability. Both were committed to being conscientious consumers who worked to reduce their carbon footprint. Both felt a happy body was a happy mind. They decided to turn their passions into their profession with Happy+Hale. Now, you’ll see this eco-friendly food cart popping up around the Raleigh-Durham, NC area whipping up nutritious eats for the masses.
