"Ask Me About My Buns", "Ask Me About My Weiner"! Those are imprinted on our employee shirts. It says it all. Our buns are a split top New England style bun made exclusively for us in DC. Our hot dogs are a premium 100% beef dog with a natural casing, creating a nice snap.

What is the story behind your business' name?
We are a minority and black owned business. We have been in the restaurant industry over 40 years. We decided to open our own restaurant almost 15 years ago. With experience from fine dining and our love for food, we created "Haute Dogs" a creative take on the all American favorite, the hot dog!
About Haute Dogs & Fries
Since 2009, Haute Dogs & Fries has treated the greater DC Metro area to a whole new level of dogs representing a world of flavors. Start at home with the DC Dog, featuring yellow mustard, BBQ sauce, blue cheese, chopped onions, and dill pickles, or branch out with their Banh Mi Dog, made with jalapeños, cucumber, pickled carrots & daikon, cilantro, and Sriracha mayo.
Maybe you want to do a bit of good for your four-legged friends. In that case, get The Good Dog, a veggie dog topped with local shredded lettuce, tomato, chopped onion, mustard, and ketchup. Why, you ask? This food truck donates 15% of their proceeds from the Good Dog to the ALX Dog Walk, an annual stroll of over 500 dogs to beautify Alexandria and educate about the environment.
