Hi Daniel is named after my son, Daniel — the heart and inspiration behind everything I do. The idea for Hi Daniel was born during my pregnancy, when I spent a lot of time thinking about the kind of future I wanted to create for my child. Baking became my way of expressing love, comfort, and hope. Every dessert I made carried the same feeling I had for my son — warmth, care, and intention. When it was time to name the business, “Hi Daniel” felt natural. It’s like a gentle greeting, a reminder of why I started, and a promise to keep building something meaningful for him. The name represents a mother’s love, perseverance, and the desire to turn that love into something that can be shared with the community. I learned to cook at home, through years of self-teaching, experimenting, and cooking for the people I love. Growing up, I was always surrounded by home-cooked meals and the warmth of the kitchen. Over time, I began teaching myself by watching, practicing, and refining recipes through trial and error. What started as a hobby slowly became a passion, especially during pregnancy, when baking and cooking became a form of comfort and creative expression. I continue to learn every day by testing new recipes, studying techniques, and listening to customer feedback. My skills come from dedication, patience, and love for the craft — and that love is what goes into every dessert we serve at Hi Daniel.

I decided to start a business because I wanted to build something meaningful — not just for myself, but for my son and my community. When I became a mother, my perspective changed. I wanted to create stability, independence, and a future I could be proud of. Baking had always been something that brought me comfort and joy, and during pregnancy it became even more meaningful.
