What is the story behind your business' name?

So our story isn't groundbreaking. We love making spicy food, and it was summer time. And we thought why not hotBoys since it seems to be catchy and fits with how we operate.

Where did you learn to cook?

Covid taught me how to cook, i hadnt ever cooked in my life before. Also moving to charlotte from New Jersey and seeing the lack of halal food options here was also a catalyst. I love fried chicken and seeing as there was no halal fried chicken here i decided to try my hand at it. After numerous failures through 2 years i finally perfected my recipe for nashville hot chicken. My partner Sean John is a master with the meats, we absolutely needed to add burgers to the menu. He has his own signature seasoning so the taste is always flavorful and juicy.

What's your favorite event that you've catered for?

We catered to a baby shower it was our first catering order and we were able to deliver on their order with precision and without hurting the quality. Which to us was simply such a confidence boost that we want to continue doing that. We received extremely good feedback after that event and because of that invested in some catering materials to make sure we're always prepared.
