José brings a fresh, modern take on regional Mexican cuisine to Dallas’ beloved Lovers/Inwood neighborhood. Inspired by the vibrant culinary scene in Jalisco, José captures the magic that happens when culture, food, tequila, and art come together. Every table tells a story, from the chef-driven plates and craft cocktails to the stunning ceramics by José Noe Suro and the hand-drawn mural by artist Megan Reinhardt, depicting scenes of Guadalajara and Tequila.

At the heart of José is a commitment to authentically innovative Mexican food. Helmed by award-winning Chef Anastacia Quiñones-Pittman, the culinary program is seasonal, inspired, and always evolving. A first-generation Mexican American and native Texan, Chef AQ infuses creativity and complexity into every dish, drawing from her extensive experience, including training at the Culinary Institute of America and her own masa-focused pop-up, Tacos de Tacha, which now features prominently on José's menu.

Founded by a group of friends, including Brady Wood of WoodHouse and Lance Raney of Droese Raney Architecture, José embodies a lifelong story of good friends, adventurous travel, and inventive eating.
