About Katja's Empanadas
Katja and Miguel Estremera initially bonded over a shared love of food when they first met in New York City. Both associated food with their families. Katja comes from a Spanish and Peurto Rican background and both Miguel’s parents were born in Puerto Rico. Originally, they started Katja’s Empanadas as part of a fundraiser to send their daughter to Alaska for a school program. The public response was so strong, the couple went pro with their food trailer and now dish up tasty eats across the Philadelphia, PA area.
