What is the story behind your business' name?
After being a chef, a director of operations for several restaurants, and managing restaurants for many years, husband and wife owner's, Matthew Brown and Rita Phillips decided having their own business, making the food they create and love so much was just the logical next step. Mabel's was created to show case not only the talents we bring to our specialty coffee drinks and handcrafted sandwiches, but to show how much we enjoy what we are creating. The name Mabel was a quirky Knick name my youngest daughter was given when she first started walking, her dad thought she looked like a little old lady and decided to call her Mabel (that name has stuck for over 30 years now). Also, owner Matthew had a great aunt named Mabel that he was very fond of. The name just made sense.
