What is the story behind your business' name?

Creator and owner Dallas Green is a DJ turned Chef that started a Food Truck to blend his love of music, food and culture. Specializing in gourmet comfort food, The Made from Scratch Food Truck focuses on savory and sweet dishes to create a fine dining experience in a fast, food truck environment. As the first and only DJ to compete on the hit Food Network show CHOPPED, Chef DJ Dallas Green’s creations have been celebrated on TV and in print through outlets such as Good Day NY, The NY Times and Entertainment Weekly just to name a few. Signature dishes like Dallas’ Lobster Grilled Cheese, Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich and his Plant-Based Burger combined with tunes from live guest DJs create a one of a kind food truck experience.

Here, you're getting the best in Southern cuisine, using generations old recipes and traditional preparation methods that make 'em a cut above the rest. From that classic chicken & waffles and lobster rolls to their specialty shrimp and chips featuring wild caught shrimp battered and deep fried to golden brown perfection, each meal is sure to satisfy. But that's not all they're making from scratch. Made From Scratch has a selection of truly divine desserts, putting cheesecake, banana pudding and red velvet cake in a jar to make it all the easier to eat.
