Magic Carpet Foods serves whole-world vegetarian & vegan delights in University City, Philadelphia. We are family owned and operated, and have been since 1984! Magic Carpet Foods operates two street-side vending carts located in University City, Philadelphia, PA. We are located at the corner of 34th and Walnut & on Spruce between 35th and 36th. The hours vary slightly based on the weather & school schedule, but look for us anytime between 11am and 3pm, Monday thru Friday. New for 2010 - We have a special events truck, located at Great Plaza, in Penn's Landing, which is open during most concerts and festivals. Our mission is to provide unique and delicious vegetarian food to the students & staff of The University of Pennsylvania & Drexel University as well as all the residents of Philadelphia. Whole World Vegetarian Dishes -- a mixture of Middle Eastern, Greek, Indian, and our own creations. You can get baked tofu, humus w/ pita bread, falafel, veggie chili, tofu meatballs, seitan peppersteak, spinach pie, and a varying selection of soups, salads, and sweet treats. Everything is piping hot and made to order.
