What is the story behind your business' name?

Funny enough, it started with a visit from a close friend, Ramon Taveras, back in 2011. We were looking for a seasonal business to help support our electronics wholesale company. While chatting, Ramon mentioned that his landlord was always home — because she ran an ice cream truck in the summer. That sparked something in us. At first, we laughed at the idea. But a few weeks later, we stumbled across a great-looking ice cream truck online. Something just felt right — so we took the leap and bought it! When Ramon visited again, he couldn’t believe it: “Are you serious?” he said. Yep — we were. After months of permits, licensing, prep work, and late nights, Magicle Ice Cream officially launched in 2012. What started as an experiment quickly became a passion. We’ve been at it ever since — 13+ years and counting — and we’re still loving every moment. Who are we? We’re Sidney and Katia San, a husband-and-wife team, happily married in the name of God since 2004. Sidney studied Business and Network Administration, with professional experience at companies like AT&T, Chase, and Sealand. Katia studied Industrial Engineering with a focus on Logistics, and worked at Hanes Brands, Payless, and other multinational firms. Together, we left the corporate world to build something that brings happiness, creativity, and smiles — Magicle Ice Cream.
