My business name, Matcha Day, came from a simple idea: I wanted something short, memorable, and meaningful that captured both the product and the feeling behind it. The word Matcha is at the heart of everything—it highlights that we serve ceremonial-grade matcha and put quality first. The word Day came from the idea that matcha is more than just a drink—it’s part of a daily ritual, a pick-me-up, a way to bring calm and energy into your everyday life. I first learned how to cook from my mom. When I was just 8 years old, she taught me how to make cha—a traditional Indian beverage we drank daily. That experience not only introduced me to flavors and balance, but also showed me the meaning of sharing comfort through a drink. Fast forward to 2025, and that inspiration helped me create Matcha Day. While every recipe on our menu is uniquely crafted, some of our specialty drinks are infused with Indian staples I grew up with—like cardamom, rooh afza, and saffron. These flavors remind me of home and let me share a piece of my culture with our community.

I decided to start Matcha Day because I’ve always had a mix of passion, creativity, and a drive to build something of my own. A few reasons really pushed me to take the leap: Passion for Matcha & Wellness I genuinely enjoy matcha—not just the taste, but the ritual, the health benefits, and the calm energy it gives. Sharing that with others felt natural, and I wanted to create drinks that were both delicious and meaningful.
