About Moon Man
Moon Man’s story begins with two cousins: Nigel Sielegar and Wenny Purnomo. Growing up in Indonesia, they brought their shared love of southeast Asian desserts to the streets of New York and have since gone on to place as finalists in the Vendy Awards.
There’s a solid variety of Indonesian snacks going down at Moon Man, so it’s all about finding your favorites. If you like mochi-esque texture, consider the Steamed Glutinous Cake, a chewy, fragrant dessert with either pandan juice or ube, or even the Baked Cassava Cake, another chewy, sweet confection. Their hallmark is undoubtedly the Kue Pancong (essentially coconut pancake), and easily one of the most popular Indonesian street foods. There will be smiles all around when your guests chow down on Moon Man, so go ahead and book ‘em for your next event.
Steamed Cassava — Grated cassava, mixed with java palm sugar, and steamed together with pandan leaves and pandan water. You’ll be addicted in no time.
