Mulu Fest brings Riverdale a food truck rooted in family, resilience, and a deep love for Ethiopian cooking, turning challenge into something joyful and shared. Founded by Mr. Abera and his family, the truck grew from a pivot during changing times into a rolling kitchen that connects people through authentic East African flavors. Serving across the DMV, Mulu Fest keeps things warm, welcoming, and proudly homemade, with a mission to leave guests smiling after every meal.

The menu shines with comforting combo plates that balance tradition and heart. Vegan options feature lentil stew, spiced chickpeas, and slow cooked vegetables, while beef combos highlight rich stews paired with classic sides. Everything is served with house baked injera, made fresh and used the way it was meant to be used, to scoop, share, and savor every bite.

Individual favorites round out the lineup with sambusas filled with lentils and herbs, misre wot offered spicy or mild, and beef stews prepared both ways to suit different moods.
