Gus Zahakis, the man behind the food truck, was born and raised in Greece. At the tender age of 14, he left to travel around the world, stopping in New York City to get a job as a dishwasher. For 10 years, he worked 14 hour days to learn the tricks of the trade, and soon had a family of his own. They settled down in Fort Collins, where Gus started a cart selling pizza.
